Spin-off of MODS.
Haru is haunted by the death of his ex-lover, Shigure, even after 11 years. Enter Shigure's bratty younger brother, Yukitaka, who helps him to move on and heal.
ANGST, so much ANGST. Characterization was *chef's kiss* and the mangaka portrayed their feelings and emotions so beautifully. Like legit teardrops streaming down my face and shit...
Non-linear narrative.
Tatsumi can use the voice of the waves to let people do his bidding, and it terrifies him. Kazushi is the stranger he meets on the seashore on a trip. But there's more than what meets the eye between these two 'strangers'.
I got so fucking emotional over this. Their love was overwhelmingly beautiful. It left me breathless.
Platonic relationship between the main characters Kirino and Mishima; and the struggles of being young gay (queer) boys in a close-knit, conservative society.
I cried so hard over the bittersweetness of this work of art. One of, if not, my most favorite mangas of all time.
The earnest Tani, a hairdresser, gets paired up with the aloof and seemingly arrogant actor, Towada.
The exploration of the trauma and struggles they both faced in their childhood and youth and the sweet simplicity of their relationship makes me love this manga a lot.
Still one of my most favorite stories of all time because it's just so sweet and cute (╥_╥). Suzumaru Minta-sensei does NOT dissapoint. Shingo and Ao have a really wholesome relationship together.
Also, Ao is forever best boii ʕ•ﻌ•ʔ
Kuroi Kengou is the wakagashira of a yakuza group. Shirakaba Touma is his childhood friend and lawyer who joins said yakuza group despite Kengou's disapproval.
Touma and Kengou's love and utter devotion to each other always moves me to another level. I've re-read this countless of times and it's always worth it.
Taiga and Arima help each other become better versions of themselves and fall in love along the way.
Arima's pain was absolutely gut-wrenching and Taiga's reason for his superficial optimism was painful.
The story was heartwrenchingly beautiful and the art was breathtaking.
