One of the OG cooking josei, and a must read if you're a fan of somewhat "old-style" shoujo manga. It has a strong-willed heroine going after her dreams, character growth, a veeery slow-burning romance (but worth it), and most importantly lots of yummy looking food!

A clumsy (as always!) university student learns to cook from her neighbour and love ensues. It's a well-written and enjoyable josei, the leads are likable, there's no unnecessary drama, and the cooking scenes are well done. One of the manga that'll make you say, let me screenshot this recipe, I want to try it later!

A super sweet "strangers become stepsisters" shoujo ai. Everyone is cute! Everyone is nice! The world is a fluffy place! Very light on the romance front, it's 90% cooking and 10% almost too adorable girl friendships, which I'm not against at all. The cooking parts are very detailed, and there are full recipes at the end of every chapter. ...also, there's hunting? Sure, why not.

I love this manga! No surprise, it's a josei, and it's got good writing and characterization, but I also really enjoyed reading about Kyoto culture and the world traditional japanese confections (wagashi). The translator has added little pictures of wagashi with explanations at the end of each chapter, which is a great bonus!

A contemplative slice of life about a girl who traveled to a dream world in her sleep and makes food in a cafe for its various residents. It's a cosy, no stake no conflict story with beautiful artwork and a peaceful atmosphere. Ideal for reading under your blanket on rainy days.

Listen, personally I'm just not into ecchi/fanservice. Panty shots, showers scenes, etc, are NOT my thing, and I don't think I'm the target audience. But I'll make an exception here, because the leads are actually likable, as in, the ML is an actual nice guy and not a creep. The story manages to remain sweet despite the emphasis on the FL's knockers. Long and detailed cooking scenes. I'm hungry now.

One of the older cooking isekai.Classic isekai premise, but I have a particular fondness for this one because of the heroine's fun magic kitchen, that she can teleport to and where she orders things through a video game screen. Completed, I think.

Another magic kitchen! Man I love magic kitchens. This one comes with a magic camping car and a FL who's not only a good cook, but an expert camper. Not many chapters have come out so far but it has a ton of potential, the story is a little different and feels refreshing compared to other isekai. The FL is very strong-hearted and self-reliant, and I like the open road setting.

There's not that much food content in this one, but there are a couple of pastry recipes and one of the main characters has a tea business, so I feel like it's enough to qualify. It's one of those lovely, sweet stories where all the characters are well-intentioned and you know nothing too bad is going to happen. I very much enjoyed the setting (early 20th century England I think) and the romance is fluffy without being too diabetes inducing. There are cute cats as well.

I'm a sucker for this type of manga! It takes place in a neighborhood bar where friends and passing strangers come to enjoy food and talk about their troubles. It just feels so cosy and lovely, like you're one of the regulars. Both food and alcohol are featured. Unfortunately there are only two chapters out and it hasn't been updated in a while.
