Let it marinate some 20+ chapters. I swear I tried and gave up about 3 times before that, but when he starts to recruit his private soldiers it becomes really good. Roman is just HIM.

currently in a process of being assassinated by the cronos empire and is invited by valhalla empire to representative warrior of the festival in 100 days.

I liked it a lot at first, but when the male lead starts to do things with the military I just lost interest. I still read it and enjoyed it, I just thought it wasn’t as good as before. This is one of those storylines where the main character starts off not having anyone of their side and when they continue to grow and get stronger, they get more followers and companions. And in this instance, that means a whole army, which I was not expecting, so I was just unsure about that at first.
